PCB makers Unitech Printed Circuit Board and Dynamic Electronics are ramping up their production of rigid-flexible PCB boards to meet increasing demand from the smartphone and wearable device sectors. 

 

Unitech plans to invest NT $1.5 billion ($50.06 million) in 2014 mainly to expand its production capacity for HDI boards and rigid-flexible PCBs, while Dynamic will start volume production of rigid-flexible PCBs from the third quarter of 2014, with the new products to contribute significantly to its revenues from the second quarter of 2015.
